Pears are known practically in every corner of the world, produced locally or, as in the case of many countries in Latin America, imported from countries with climates that allow their cultivation.
Like many other fruits, pears are composed mainly of water. They contain carbohydrates, as well as fiber, and protein. For those who are always looking for the perfect diet foods, it should be noted that this refreshing fruit has 0 percent fat, so it is ideal for including it in our weight loss diet. It contains phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, sodium, iron, and iodine, as well as vitamin C, B3, B1, B2, B6, B9, and beta-carotene.
Thanks to its high-water content, it is a moisturizing fruit. The pears help to maintain a correct intestinal transit and combat constipation. They have, therefore, beneficial effects on our intestinal flora. The consumption of pears is indicated for those with digestive system problems and helps to combat fluid retention, thanks to its diuretic effect.
Do not hesitate to include them in your diet as a refreshing snack because, thanks to their protein content, the pears help calm the hunger sensation.
The dessert that I present to you on this occasion is a dessert that never goes out of style and has an excellent presentation without mentioning its flavor.
If possible, try to use pears of organic cultivation to take advantage of their qualities as much as possible while avoiding the risks of mass production to the environment.

Directions
For the pears
Wash the pears and peel them, leaving only the stalks.
With a small knife, carefully remove the core with the seeds.
Place the pears in a deep pot with a thick bottom. Add sugar, cinnamon, star anise, sweet cloves, nutmeg, and vanilla. Add a pinch of salt and cover it with wine, orange juice (optional), and water.
Cook the pears on medium heat for about 30 minutes, turning them very carefully from time to time so that they are entirely cooked with the same color. Remove the pears from the pot and let them cool. Set aside.
Keep cooking the wine until thick. It would be best if you achieved a texture of a fluid syrup. Set aside.
For pastry cream
Boil the milk. With a blender, beat the yolks and sugar at medium-high speed to form a dense cream. Add the flour and beat it for a minute. Add the hot milk, vanilla and a pinch of salt and mix well. Bring the mixture to a pot on medium heat, constantly moving with a whisk until creamy. Please turn off the heat and let it cool at room temperature.
Plating your dessert
Place the pastry cream in a bag and carefully fill the center of the pears.
Transfer your pears to your favorite serving plate and pour it some wine syrup on the top and decorate themwith mint leaves.
